Africa!

Hello!
Today is our first day in Africa or better Tanzania. It took us a total of 23 hours to get here, probably more. We started at logan airport at 6 in the afternoon and then had an 8 hour flight to Amsterdam. We landed afround 4.30 due to the time change. Then we walked around the amsterdam airport becuase we had been sitting for so long. The air port was super nice. It had showeres, really nice chairs to sit in and cd stores and clothing stores. Then we went from Amserdam to Kilimanjaro and then to the lodge! It was a very long day. It is acutally pretty cold here in Tanzania becuase it is actually their winter, not that they really have one but I thought it would be much nicer. They have amazing wildlife. Today we went to visit two local schools. Compared to our schools, these were shit but for Africa they were pretty decent. There were 80 kids per class with one teacher! The kids were really curious about us as we were of them. They were very nice though. I had a pen pal named Dorkus who gave me a necklace and I gave her some pencils. She taught me some swahili and I taught her some english. She had her little sister with her who was very cute! she had on the cutest dress! All the african babies are so cute! The kids loved our digital cameras becuase they show the image right back that you just took. After the school we went to one of our guides houses for lunch which was really good. The meat was kinda chewy but the rest was good. They had goats and cows right in their back yard! Then we went to the rain forest and saw colobus monkeys, butterflies birds and lizards. Every thing was in bloom so it was very pretty. Then we went back to the hotel and had dinner and went to bed.
In the air port I met a girl named Lindsey who is the same age as me. She is also on the same tour as we are. She seems nice, she is really pretty. She came to Africa with her aunt.
